The diagram below portrays the relationships between the three standing committees that oversee the Hampton Roads Metropolitan Medical Response System.

HRMMRS Organization and Planning
The multidisciplinary Oversight Committee reports to all 16 jurisdictions that comprise Hampton Roads via the Hampton Roads Planning District Commission (HRPDC).
The Healthcare Committee brings together representatives from all of the area hospitals, emergency medical services (EMS) agencies, local health departments,emergency managers and other to address the health needs of our citizens during a mass casualty incident or disaster.
The Strike Team Committee has representatives fromarea fire departments, EMS agencies, hazardous materials teams, strike team members, and our teaining and exercise staff to ensure that our strike team is trained and equipped to respond to an incident if requested.
