Miscellaneous Information

Judy is a Regional Healthcare Emergency Preparedness Coordinator for the Eastern Virginia Healthcare Coalition (EVHC).  Judy had a distinguished career in the U.S. Navy retiring as a Chief Hospital Corpsman after 21 years of service. After leaving the Navy she worked as a Medical Functional Analyst for the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center - Norfolk for 5 1/2 years, designing medical and dental software for the Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard.  

Judy was hired in 2004 by the Hampton Roads Metropolitan Medical Response System (HRMMRS), where she also serves as the Regional Healthcare Emergency Preparedness Coordinator for the Eastern Virginia Healthcare Coalition. From 2002 - 2010 she also served as an EMT and EMS Supervisor for the Nansemond-Suffolk Volunteer Rescue Squad in Suffolk, Virginia. 

Judy has an A.S. from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Albany. She is also a Certified Hospital Emergency Coordinator - II. Judy resides in Portsmouth with her four Border Collies and enjoys spending time with friends on their North Carolina farms.

Our office is co-located with the Tidewater Emergency Medical Services Council (TEMS) at 1104 Madison Plaza, Chesapeake, Virginia 23320.


Our History

The HRMMRS began as a DHS Grant Program in 1999. The HRMMRS continues to support & enhance Hampton Roads public safety, hospital, public health, & emergency management response capabilities to manage mass casualty incidents.
